Our Greatest Treasure

This was the closing prayer poem from my sermon on Matthew 25:14-30, titled Faithful Servants, Fruitful Stewards: Enter Into the Joy of Your Master. October 8, 2020. First Chinese Baptist Church, Walnut, California.

You brought to our attention
That you have given gifts.
You grant them to your children.
Your glory is in this:

That while we’ll try our best
To steward and to serve --
It’s you who gives the growth.
So when you will return

May we be found as faithful
And may you say “well done.”
We will enter into joy
And everlasting love.

We’ll thank you for the gifts,
You’re generous and kind,
But our greatest treasure
Is knowing Jesus Christ.
